Paula Anta se doctoró cum laude en Bellas Artes por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2015), realizando el Doctorado Europeo en colaboración con la Akademie de Künste de Berlin y la Universidad de Saarbrücken.

A nivel internacional su obra ha sido expuesta en la antigua Residencia de los Embajadores de España (Washington D.C. USA), Art D’Egypt (El Cairo, Egipto), Bienal de Dakar en el Museo Boribana (Dakar, Senegal), Nobel Prize Museum (Estocolmo, Suecia), CCE Santiago (Santiago, Chile), Centro Municipal de Arte Viersen (Viersen, Alemania), Centro Cultural de España (Montevideo, Uruguay), Galería Municipal Chateau D’eau (Toulouse, Francia), Cité Internationale Universitaire (París, Francia), Museo Giovani Fattori (Livorno Italia), Academia de España en Roma (Roma, Italia).

Su obra ha sido expuesta en centros como el CA2M, Tabacalera, Matadero, Real Jardín Botánico, Museo Lázaro Galdiano, Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid, Casa Vicens, CCCB de Barcelona, Centro Cultural Sa Nostra de Palma de Mallorca, La Laboral de Gijón, Centro Niemeyer de Avilés, Domus Artium DA2 de Salamanca, así como en varias ediciones del Festival internacional de fotografía, Photoespaña.

Ha recibido importantes premios entre los que destaca el XXI Premio de Cultura de la Comunidad de Madrid (2023), XI Premio Bienal Internacional de Fotografía Contemporánea Pilar Citoler (2021), Premio de Fotografía Contemporánea Consell de Mallorca (2020), Premio Internacional Centro Unesco de Extremadura (2020). Destacan las becas de la Academia de España en Roma (2011-2012), Beca de Artes Plásticas y Fotografía en el Colegio de España en París (2012-2013), Premio de Creación Artística de la Comunidad de Madrid (2008-2009), Becas Transversia de residencias artísticas en Senegal de la Fundación Ankaria (2018) entre otros.

Paula Anta received her PhD in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid (2015), completing the European PhD in collaboration with the Akademie de Künste in Berlin and the University of Saarbrücken.

Paula Anta’s work has been shown both in individual and collective exhibitions as well as in institutional venues such as in the Former Residence of the Ambassadors of Spain in Washington D.C. (Washington D.C., USA), Art D’Égypte International exhibition (Cairo, Egypt), Dakar Biennale at the Boribana Museum (Dakar, Senegal), Nobel Prize Museum (Stockholm, Sweden), CCE Santiago (Santiago, Chile), Städtische Galerie Viersen (Viersen, Germany), Spanish Cultural Center (Montevideo, Uruguay), Galerie Municipale du Chateau D’eau (Toulouse, France), Cité Internationale Universitaire (París, France), Museum of Giovani Fattori (Livorno Italy), Spanish Academy in Rome (Rome, Italy).

In Spain her work has been shown in the most important art centers and museums such as the Contemporary Art Museum of Madrid CA2M, Tabacalera, Matadero Centre for Contemporary Creation, Royal Botanic Garden, Lazaro Galdiano Museum, CBA in Madrid, Contemporary Culture Centre CCCB (Barcelona), Sa Nostra Cultural Centre (Palma de Mallorca), Laboral City of Culture (Gijón), Niemeyer Centre (Avilés), DA2 Museum (Salamanca) and several editions of the PhotoEspaña International Photography Festival.

Paula Anta has earned various awards and accolades, highlighting the Culture Prize of the Autonomous Community of Madrid (2023), the XI International Biennial Prize for Contemporary Photography Pilar Citoler (2021), Mallorca Council Photography Award (2020), International Photography Award of the Unesco Extremadura (2020). She has been granted several reputable scholarships for art creation such as the Scholarship in the Spanish Academy in Rome (2011-2012), the Scholarship for Visual Arts and Photography in the Spanish College in Paris (2012-2013), the Art Creation Award of the Regional Authority of Madrid (2008-2009) and the Ankaria Foundation residency “Transversia” program in Senegal (2018).
